The Kentucky Foundation for Women
Leslie is one ten female artists who were selected to participate in the 2010 Hopscotch House Summer Residency Program. During this one-week residency she will create a life-size female figure as a representation of shared personal histories. This piece is the first in a series large scale works reflecting research on early feminist activists.

This exhibition includes works on paper and fiber exploring the role and power of text in contemporary culture.
Curator Joetta Maue selected Leslie’s typewritten portrait Declaration of Sentiments, which uses the text of the same name drafted by Elizabeth Cady Stanton.

The Kentucky Arts Council: Artist Professional Development Program
Leslie is one of seven artists The Kentucky Arts Council has awarded a grant to for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010.The Individual Artist Professional Development Program assists Kentucky artists in developing or expanding opportunities or activities that will help them further their professional lives as artists. The grants awarded will help fund the production and printing of promotional materials.
